    Description

EARLY 1880-1910 FIGURAL WHISKEY FLASK..........filled and given away by a saloon keeper with a paper label promoting his business (according to my bottle collecting/friend)!!
I've been by told by a helpful ebayer this was a style/bottle used by William Foust in PA. and a paper label would have been on it.
Early potato shaped flask--NO LID..........."pat applied for" in raised letters on the base.
Approximately 5-1/2" long. Threaded neck with slight roughness on the ground top.
Two part mould........base measures 1-1/4" wide across the oval base.
I find NO cracks or repairs.............please view all photos as they are part of the description.
Late 1800s?? I personally don't know that but am going by other ebay listings and we know how that works out sometimes!! :)
This bottle has what looks like a popped glass "bubble" .......visible in the third and last photo.......just a "oval" which is NOT a hole in the bottle but it does feel rough so I think it was an air pocket which burst leaving a rough oval on top of the bottle (on the outside).......but not a hole that goes all the way through the side of the bottle
    Thanks for looking!!
