    Description

1940 Bren Gun Utility Pouch Harness.
For sale is a Bren Gun utility pouch harness. Including 2 utility pouches and back/neck straps. All items are matching manufacture and year: “MECo 1940”.
    Item description:
The utility pouches were a standard item of 1937 Pattern Web Equipment designed to carry additional ammunition. In theory, the Bren Gun Number Two would exchange empty magazines from these utility pouches with full ones from members of the section.
These could be worn on the soldier's front above the basic pouches, or front and rear. They could also be worn attached to the sides of the haversack. These pouches were originally designed to be carried in unit transport and slung over the other equipment just prior to going into action.
**A quick note about shipping and fees: taxes charged upon checkout are collected by eBay on a % basis, meaning the more expensive the item the higher fees eBay collects from both the buyer AND the seller. I do not have control over these fees and do not receive any of these funds. Shipping costs may seem high, but please bear in mind that many factors have contributed to a drastic increase in shipping fees over the past year. While I try to keep shipping costs reasonable, 99% of the time, fees for shipping that I charge do NOT cover the actual cost for me to ship the item. Thank you for your understanding and your business!**
