    Description

    2 Enfield butt stocks for S.M.L.E. or No.1 Mk3 rifles. The dark colored stock is WW1 vintage and has an arsenal repair at the base of grip and finish wear, bumps and bruises, but NO cracks. Measures 13 3/4" long. Marked 13 on socket, faintly marked RP over a 7 on top of wrist. Large S on bottom of wrist and P on base of wrist. A faded rack number of 493 is on left rear of butt. The other stock is from an early S.M.L.E and uses a single screw rear sling swivel and is drilled out with 4 storage compartments from the rear. See pictures. It has an arsenal repair at the top of heal. Shows signs of having been sanded and refinished and has the usual bumps and bruises but NO cracks. No readable markings visible anywhere.
