BC611 made in USA...WELL WORKING WWII BC-611 / SCR-536

Description

Another fine example of international cooperation: thanks to the Marshall Plan, in addition to economic and food aid, tons of electronic equipment were donated, including transceivers that will be used by the military forces of countries in difficulty after the war.
If desired, you could replace the front plate with a good repro readily available on eBay, leaving the second and rare one on the top.
This unit is WELL-WORKING in reception and in transmission with good modulation,
unlike all others proposed on eBay but ... UNTESTED despite the exorbitant economic demands.

NOTE:I took over (at stratospheric price!) the entire collection of military equipments belonging to an elderly engineer (once living in the same Residence of mine) who moved to Portugal in October 2018. He purchased all items,many times ago,declared  functioning by European collectors friends.
I transcribe the description that the previous collector / owner left for each item.

NOTA comune a tutte le mie aste: ho rilevato (a prezzo stratosferico) l'intera collezione di un ingegnere (in pensione)vicino di casa nel medesimo residence,trasferitosi da Ottobre 2018 in Portogallo.La collezione,che riempie tre garages,comprende una plètora di amplificatori a valvole,per strumenti musicali e non,italiani ed americani,tutti a valvole.Quasi 2 tonnellate (non esagero)di apparecchiature ricetrasmittenti WWII,USA e UK.Decine di splendide chitarre acustiche vintage,costruite da rinomati e
famosi liutai Catanesi.

Unfortunately,the BC611,on ebay are always listed UNTESTED with great danger of finding one with the "modulation choke" interrupted and ... NOT repairable (because SEALED!) or available as a spare part .
It would be "imperative" that the Seller asking a stratospheric price, guarantees that the coil of the inductance is intact because a BC611 with the modulation inductance (which feeds the output stage) interrupted is destined only for the "trash-can" !
