    Description/bio from Beatriz Castro’s web site:
    “I graduated in 1988 from West Surrey College of Art and Design (Farnham, Surrey) with a BA (Hons) degree in Three Dimensional Design in glass. I was able to set up my own studio in 1996. Since then, I have exhibited both in the UK and abroad. My work is made by the glass making process described as kiln-formed, using the techniques of fusing and slumping. Different metals such as copper, aluminum, silver and gold leaf are cut and placed between layers of clear glass and then fused at high temperature.”
