Description
RAF Pilot sunglasses - Spectacles MkII 22C/1369 Medium. These LOOK LIKE the Ray Ban sunglasses that Tom Cruise wore in the original "Top Gun" movie
They are older and more robustly constructed, but extremely similar in style
I did see another (2nd Patt) described as being "Polaroid"
Contained in their original Broad-Arrow marked metal carry-case, with an internal removable pouch containing the spectacles.
Chrome (silver frames) with grey lenses, adjustable spring type ear pieces, and clear plastic nose pads.
The upper bridge is marked: MkII 22C/1369 and the lower bridge: FOCL.
The GLASS lenses but are quite usable with no obvious scratches.
One of the ear arm-screws has been LOST (likely easily sourced from a spectacles seller)
Or just insert a short length of Copper wire and bend the ends = fixed 😁
The case in very good condition, has some external wear (please see photos).
A nice piece of WW2 vintage(?) RAF pilot kit.
