Collectible Walt Disney Studio Archives by Saturday's Toys presents...
an authorized facsimile recreation of the 1949 corporate Christmas card from "Walt Disney and Staff" at the Walt Disney Studio.  Recreated and distributed in 2005 under authorization from the Walt Disney Studio / Walt Disney Archives.
Card is centered around the animation studio's upcoming release for 1950:  Cinderella.  Interior design by John Hench with final art by Mary Blair.  The iconic pumpkin coach was originally conceived for Disney animation by Ken O'Connor.
As such, the characters and designs for "Cinderella" (including Jaq & Gus and the Fairy Godmother and the Pumpkin Coach) are featured throughout the card; including a calendar for the new year of 1950.  The front cover art is by an unconfirmed Disney studio illustrator.
Approx. 7 7/8" x 7"; folded as shown.  Opens to reveal the calendar.  Back cover reveals additional projects then in production including "Alice in Wonderland" and "Treasure Island."
These authorized facsimiles were created in 2005 exclusively for Disney and are unlikely to reproduced again any time soon.  To own the originals of these archival items would cost hundreds of dollars; but they are available at a fraction of the price through these authorized facsimile artifacts.  All items marked "Disney"
Very good condition; as shown.  Suitable for framing and/or display
An affordable means of collecting the historic treasures of the Walt Disney Studio.

Saturday’s Toys and Disneyana Auctions
was founded in 1994 by Southern California author and Disney historian, Dave Mason. Soon after eBay's launch the following year, Saturday's Toys was among the first Disneyana specialists to strategize in embracing this rapidly developing technology. Having delivered over 10,000 coveted Disney treasures since then, Saturday's Toys is pleased to partner with researchers, collectors and friends throughout the world with a shared interest in the preservation of authentic and accurate Disney history.
Today, online offerings of archival Disneyana keepsakes are presented in celebration of the extended times that allow for family, friends and neighbors to join in memorable gatherings that nurture the strong connections that bind a community together. These treasures are affectionately known as "Saturday's Toys." In that light we present our adopted motto (with a tip of the cap to the Sherman Brothers):
"Oh, let's go fly a kite!"
