    This is from an estate of a fabulously wealthy couple who were avid world travelers. They had trinkets and such from everywhere!  This is correct in color and style for NE India. The wool is very fine (much like our smart wool of today). The gold beads are hollow and hammered. They test for 8-9k gold. This would have been made solely for rich tourists back in the day. Gold has been thoroughly tested via acid and Mizar. Each bead weighs approximately 1g. These have over 280 beads each! These are also reversible with a side slit on one side to tuck other side into. I can just imagine Virginia traipsing around India with this on. I spent about a year working on this estate and feel like I know her! I guarantee this item to be authentic and as stated and am very happy to do returns for any reason.
