    Description

    This is a pair of original British Army WWII men's white, Army-issued trouser braces or suspenders, dated 1943. The suspenders are made of white, elasticated cotton with brown leather tabs having buttonholes for attaching to the buttons inside trousers (battledress trousers). The have chromed steel adjusting buckles and rings that hold the cloth. They are stamped with "A. & F.T. LTD 1943 SIZE 34"." I see no other marks on cloth, metal, or leather. The suspenders are in good to very good condition. The cloth is intact and strong, the leather tabs are still flexible. All parts are present and in good condition. There is soiling, staining, and some rust on the cloth, some of the the metal parts show rust. Please see photos. ************ A good representative pair of wartime-dated, original 1943 British Army WWII trouser suspenders. In my experience these are hard to find in any condition, and harder still to find with a mid-war date.
