*Up for sale here is a very handsome looking quart whiskey cylinder bottle from Newport, Kentucky. *The city of Newport is situated at the confluence of the Ohio and Licking Rivers in Campbell County Kentucky. This quart example is near mint and the old clear glass is sparkling clean, with no wear, chips, haze, pings or dings. Looks to have not been in the ground, and was never tumbled. Excellent example. The clear glass will sun purple over time, if left exposed. Bottle is hand blown with the tooled top, and should date into the 1890's era. May be quite scarce, and he has a jug. *Shown only here, but is not included with the bottle.
*It is boldly embossed in a circular slug plate, as it clearly reads ~ "THE Mc KEON-HEALY Co. / NEWPORT, KENTUCKY". Nice with the state spelled out on the bottle. On the base it has the number "405" embossed, with a faint "M" in a circle as well. This cylindrical pre pro whiskey bottle measures 12 inches tall, and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. You will be quite pleased with this neat piece of pre prohibition era whiskey distillery history, from days gone by. *Please note: The jug in the last photo is only to show, and will NOT be included with the bottle
