Tlingit Haida Pacific Northwest Coast shaman's carved totem charm fish pendant

This item is from a large, three generation collection of Native American art and artifacts from the estate of Bernard Clayton Conger. Conger was an avid collector of beads, points, pipes, effigys pottery and other items. He
traveled from the Eastern US first to California and then to southern Oregon. Part of his collection was pictured in 'Who's Who in Indian Relics No. 7 1988
edition. His collection consisted of his own personal finds as well as his father's and grandfather's collections. He also had Mississippian pottery from Roy Pohler's collection, a few pieces of which I'll be selling. Please see my other auctions for more unique pieces from this estate.

This is wonderful imagery of a jumping fish, and very early. I've only seen these in museums, so it is a rare find. I have 3 others.
