Vintage British Lantern, possibly military or railroad

Description

Antique British lantern - possibly military or railroad. Black metal. Approximately 6" high without adding for folding handle on top. Ruler is in photo to give an indication of size - it is not included with the lantern. Bottom plate has "British Made" and a manufacturer name which we could not read. You may be able to see that in the photo. Bottom unscrews to take a battery which is not included.
Item in this listing has been in storage for over 20 years, from a retired antiques dealer who is now selling old stock.
