RARE!VINTAGE FOSTORIA MILK GLASS "SKYSCRAPER" LIGHT GLOBE

This vintage milk glass light globe was designed by Edward L. Silverman, received a design patent in 1931 (#80293), and was manufactured by Fostoria Glass Company. The Fostoria name and design patent number are molded into the glass under the rim
(see photos)
. It is made from milk glass in an octagonal design with 4 graduated levels, like the top of a skyscraper (or wedding cake). The eight side panels have an identical Art Deco modernist line design executed in green. The panels measure about 2-1/2"x2". The globe measures 6" high and 6" across. The opening is 3-1/2" in diameter. I was able to show 7 of the side panels in the allotted photos.
This light globe is in very good condition with no visible cracks, nicks, or scratches. The opening is rough around the inside rim, as is common for fixtures like this. I have only found one other globe with the same design and pattern, and the lines were black, not green.
