    Here's a scarce 1862 dated blackglass GIN label under glass bottle from the Civil War era.....

    black letters on gold label under glass on front inside a sunken shield shape panel...

    bold emb on back.....Hand blown in mold, bimal...early smooth base with crude straight line hinge mold seam.....applied collar....dark amber blackglass....round...12"tall....Bottle itself is in excellent condition with no chips or damage, but the glass label has a large section missing. The word GIN is not affected. Some light inside haze. ....THIS IS A FIXED PRICE BOTTLE FOR SALE IN MY STORE.
