an authorized facsimile Mickey Mouse standee recreated under authorization from the Walt Disney Studio / Walt Disney Archives.
This counter-top sign was developed to attract customers to department store counters where Herrmann Handkerchief Co. (New York) handkerchiefs were offered featuring Mickey Mouse and the Silly Symphony cartoon characters.
9" tall x 5.25" wide
Newly recreated in 2005 for the Walt Disney Company (without printed references to Herrmann).  Printed on heavy cardstock with flap attached to rear of standee for use on tabletops or counters.  Mint condition; suitable for antique store or in-home displays.  Intended for a lightweight hankie to be pulled through the slot in Mickey's hand to "plus" the display.  While it's not a heavy-duty artifact, it creates an attractive display in any setting.
These authorized facsimiles were created in 2005 exclusively for Disney and are unlikely to reproduced again any time soon.  To own the originals of these archival items would cost hundreds of dollars; but they are available at a fraction of the price through these authorized facsimile artifacts.  All items marked "Disney"
