    Description

You are bidding on an old and authentic late 1870s-1880s, applied top, multi shaded amber four piece mold, western whiskey fifth with some crudity, measuring 11 13/16”tall and embossed J.H. CUTTER OLD BOURBON above a CROWN w/dot A.P. HOTALING & CO. SOLE AGENTS and embossed on the rear shoulder ANO1 without the circle. This is the second oldest variant. No cracks, no chips, on this super strongly struck cylinder, but does have several deep scratches, a pair of lip edge nicks w/associated ding, an area on the base that possibly appears to be a buffed out chip (see photos) Not sure why with the ding on the lip 🤷. It also has a tiny nick on the shoulder seam (also see photos) Still a pretty nice looking bottle. This auction is for the Hotaling cylinder only, other bottles photographed are for color and size comparison only and are not included in this auction. Thanks and keep your eyes peeled as there are loads of killer bottles to come, figural bitters, portrait flasks, western bitters, applied top western cylinders, colored meds, lots of pharmacy and Washington bottles pottery jugs and pontiled gems on the way!
