    Description

WW2 BRITISH PARATROOPER STEN GUN BANDOLEER SECOND PATTERN (PATTERN B) 1944 DATED
Excellent original scarce Sten Gun Bandoleer as used by British Paratroopers. This example is the Pattern B, which has seven individual pockets for each magazine and individual flaps to close each pocket. The pockets are held closed with web tabs threaded through bras metal loops. These are sewn down unlike the replicas made in India. Developed around 1942 these allowed a soldier to carry magazines for the Sten Gun and still have the basic pouches available for Bren magazines or Mills Bombs. This example has some light rust stains on each flap where magazines were stored. It has a small stain on the back and the most commonly encountered maker stamp "B Ltd /|\ 1944". A nice accessory for your Sten Gun or Airborne collection. Originals of this are hard to come by.
