WW2 British RAF Royal Air Force Azimuth Circle Type No. 4 Instrument In Box

For sale here is a nice WW2 British RAF Cased Azimuth Type No. 4.  The instrument is complete with original case.  The box is approximately 8" X 7" X 5".  The box is well marked and in good condition with a crack in the bottom and the leather strap is missing.  The plaque on the front of the box is present, but has darkened.  The azimuth locks nicely into the box.  The azimuth is in good condition, but a piece of the darkened glass has cracked.  I don't know how to operate one of these properly, but it doesn't seem to hamper operation.  The top of the box still has the original instruction sheet that has two examination dates of 1941 and 1943.  This is a cool piece with a great case!
